D1 : Codes and Conventions

about - explain what you will be doing in this blog post - say why its important to follow codes and conventions - say how will make sure i adhere to codes and conventions of radio     important - pick a radio station to use as an example of how they follow the codes and conventions and     refer back to them on each time eg if you're  talking about use of jingles say how capital uses thei r jingles - explain how the advert will adhere to the codes and conventions (this can be one single paragraph) In this document, I will be discussing how we have been following the codes and conventions of the genre our radio show falls under. This is important because any radio  show has a specific kind of structure to meet the expectations of the audience. The radio station that Ellie and I are recording is about the city Doncaster and what things you can do there, and what celebrities used to or currently live around there. Adhering to these codes and conventions...

M3 : Legal and Ethical Issues

about - who regulates radio or advertisements and how it can affect the show/advert - select elements from scripts to show how will adhere to the rules in place - need to explain how will adhere to copyright - use m3 guide to help For M3, I will be discussing how the legal and ethical issues will affect our radio show and how we will adhere to these rules that are in place. Some legal issues that could come from the radio show could be copyright. This may be to do with the music that could be used in the show, or any sound effects that are subjected to this. To get around these, we could use royalty free sound effects as they are free to use by anyone, and for the music we would need permission from the owner to use it (if they say no then obviously it can't be used). Some more issues that could affect our radio show could be privacy concerns for the celebrities as  it would be important to make sure that any information shared is a...

P4 : Planning

Image
Proposal The purpose of this radio show will be to inform and entertain its audience, being able to find out about the different celebrities that come from Doncaster and the events they would be included in (if any). The target audience for this radio show would be people who are from South Yorkshire but also from Doncaster, who would want to find something to do, or were previously convinced that the city is boring and has nothing interesting. looking at psychometrics, this would be aimed at explorers. this is because they are attracted to new experiences, and being able to discover new things in their area would be good for them. This show would be on air at around midday or just after. This is because in Doncaster, any places to visit would likely all be open and would give the opportunity for people who are in the area or wanting to come to the area to find something to do before they actually come. Gantt Chart Script welcome to the part of the radio where you lot can find out abou...

M2 : Explain the processes and technologies involved in producing a radio broadcast

Image
e Equipment standard equipment microphones the microphones which radio presenters will used are for announcements and voiceovers. the disc type thing on it is to make the persons voice sound a lot clearer and to block out any major background noise. headphones the headphones used in a radio station would be to closely listen to the audio which you are broadcasting, and would be connected to the same channel as the speakers. speakers these speakers will be used to listen to the content you have created, but without headphones. so, for example, if a group project is being worked on and each person is doing it separately, to share what they have done they can simply use the speakers. however, when going back to using the headphones, once they are plugged back in the speakers will stop automatically. workstation workstations in radio stations would be used for running the radio software, which allows AM and FM broadcasting to create music and voices from the computer itself rather than us...

P3 : Multiplatform Distribution Methods

Image
you are required to explore multiplatform distribution methods used by radio stations. you will need to explore your chosen radio station and investigate the different distribution methods they use. evidence should be produced in the form of a formal word-processed report, or presentation with supporting notes and documentation. capital radio online at the top of the website shows the current presenter who is on the show (this will change every so often, obviously, when another person is presenting) television the TV channel version of a radio station is a lot different from the online/mobile, as it would be far less interactive. mobile app at the top there is an option to go to the different radio stations owned by global player. shows the current song playing, the previous, and the next songs to be playing. as you scroll down, there is a lot less than what there is on the website, like there isn't a list of each of the presenters, but it still shows some of the similar things. ...
